The University of Chicago’s COMPASS study is collecting health information from Chicago residents to better understand and prevent disease in the city’s diverse communities. New participants receive $75 for full participation, plus a $25 gift card at a one-year follow-up.

Taking part means a short consent, an online survey of about 20–45 minutes, a roughly 40-minute visit for physical measurements and samples, and running a home air-quality device for 3–5 days. Visits happen at the UChicago Medicine research clinic or at community and mobile research events; call or email the study team to sign up.

Is this study legit?

Yes. It's run by University of Chicago, an established market research company. You should never be asked to pay to take part. How we check studies →
